The Award is give to those who have worked in the field of disability rights and earned respect in countries in the region. The Champions will be recognized at the special ceremony to be held in conjunction with the High-level Intergovernmental Meeting on the Final Review of the Implementation of the Asian and Pacific Decade of Disabled Persons, 2003-2012, to be held from 29 October to 2 November 2012, Incheon, Republic of Korea.
